Job Title: IT Programmer / Software Developer

Location: Adenta – Accra, Ghana

Job Summary
The IT Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and improving software applications and systems that support the organization’s business operations. The successful candidate should be able to translate business and technical requirements into reliable, efficient, and user-friendly software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, test, and maintain software applications and internal systems.
• Write clean, efficient, scalable, and well-documented code.
• Analyze business and user requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs and system issues.
• Maintain and improve existing applications and databases.
• Develop and integrate APIs and third-party systems where required.
• Perform software testing and quality assurance before deployment.
• Collaborate with IT staff, management, and other departments on technology projects.
• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and implementations.
• Maintain technical documentation for applications and systems.
• Monitor application performance and recommend improvements.
• Ensure software solutions meet security, performance, and usability requirements.
• Stay updated on emerging programming languages, frameworks, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and training to users when necessary.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree/HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant professional certifications will be an advantage.
• 2–4 years of experience in software development/programming.
• Demonstrated experience developing and deploying software applications.

Technical Skills
The candidate should have practical knowledge of some or all of the following:
• Programming: Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, PHP, or similar languages.
• Web Development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, or related frameworks.
• Database: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, or similar.
• Version Control: Git/GitHub/GitLab.
• APIs: RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Software testing and debugging.
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and secure coding practices.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud will be an advantage.
