Job Title: Web Developer
Department: IT / Technology
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Adenta – Accra, Ghana
Reports To: IT Manager / Head of Technology

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and creative Web Developer to design, develop, maintain, and improve websites and web applications. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, designers, and internal teams to build responsive, user-friendly, secure, and high performing digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and web applications.
• Develop clean, efficient, and scalable code.
• Convert UI/UX designs into functional websites.
• Ensure websites are optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Develop and integrate APIs and third-party services.
• Manage website databases and server-side applications where required.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve website and application issues.
• Conduct regular website updates, maintenance, and performance improvements.
• Implement website security best practices.
• Optimize websites for speed, search engines, and overall user experience.
• Collaborate with graphic designers, content teams, and other developers.
• Test websites across different browsers and devices.
• Maintain proper documentation of development processes and projects.
• Stay updated on emerging web technologies, programming languages, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, HND, Diploma, or relevant professional qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Web Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with modern web development frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or similar.
• Knowledge of backend technologies such as PHP, Node.js, Python, or Laravel is an advantage.
• Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of WordPress or other CMS platforms is an added advantage.
• Understanding of responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub or other version-control systems.
