Job Title: Religious and Moral Education & Social Studies Teacher (JHS)
Location: Kasoa Nurses
Reports To: Headteacher / Academic Coordinator

Job Summary:
The RME and Social Studies Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and curriculum-aligned lessons that promote students’ moral development, critical thinking, civic responsibility, and understanding of societal values. The teacher will nurture students to become responsible, ethical, and informed citizens.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver lessons in Religious and Moral Education and Social Studies in line with the national curriculum.
Use diverse teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and teaching materials.
Integrate real-life examples to enhance understanding of moral values and societal issues.
2. Student Development
Instill discipline, moral values, and good character in students.
Encourage respect, tolerance, and responsible behavior.
Support students’ social and emotional development.
3. Assessment & Evaluation
Design and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments.
Assess and track students’ academic progress.
Provide timely feedback and support to improve performance.
Prepare students for internal and external examinations (e.g., BECE).
4. Classroom Management
Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.
Enforce school rules and disciplinary procedures.
Manage student behavior effectively.
5. Co-curricular Activities
Organize debates, quizzes, and moral/civic education activities.
Support school events, clubs, and community engagement programs.
6. Record Keeping & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and behavior.
Prepare reports and communicate student progress to parents and school management.
7. Professional Development
Participate in workshops, training, and staff meetings.
Stay updated with current teaching methods and curriculum changes.
