The degree in community psychology prepares graduates to address societal problems from a an ecological systems stand point. Focus is on identifying and addressing social problems from the root courses, relying on empirical evidence and prevention approaches.
The certificate in corporate counseling prepares graduates to provide mental health support to employees and organizations while they navigate organizational and personal growth and development. It is aimed at making the employee feel safe, comfortable and willing to give their all to the organization, knowing that the organization cares about them as people , and just as statistics.
Work & Experience
Assisted the in maintaining accreditation compliance by collecting data, reporting on accreditation requirement measures. Also served as the office manager and general student advisor, providing counsel, academic guidance, and administrative support.
Provided mental health support to 30+ clients in areas of resource linkage, case management, care coordination, skills training, assessments, benefits and community resources access.
Provided general administrative support to 20+ departments and agencies, managed the assembly correspondence and records, trained and supported new hires and interns, and leased with nonprofits in the district to ensure compliance.
