Treasurer & Accountant

Role Summary
This is a merged role: one person owning both treasury operations and the core accounting function. You’ll manage the firm’s cash and liquidity across fiat and crypto rails, keep the books accurate, and make sure the company stays compliant with its tax and regulatory obligations as it scales toward full VASP licensing. A background in accounting is required — this is not a generalist finance role.
Key Responsibilities
a. Treasury
1. Manage daily cash flow and treasury operations across GHS, USDT, and USDC accounts
2. Oversee banking relationships, wire transfers, and settlement processes with counterparties
3. Forecast liquidity needs and manage exposure across fiat and crypto balances
4. Maintain signatory controls and approval workflows for outgoing payments
5. Monitor exchange rates and currency exposure across GHS, USDT, and USDC
b. Accounting & Financial Reporting
1. Prepare and maintain financial statements, general ledgers, and monthly reconciliations
2. Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations
3. Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls
4. Support external audits and prepare supporting schedules and documentation
5. Prepare regulatory submissions and reporting, including for Bank of Ghana requirements
6. Track budgets, expenses, and monthly management accounts
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
2. Professional accounting certification — ACCA, CA, or CPA — required or actively in progress
3. 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or treasury
4. Working knowledge of Ghanaian tax rules and the statutory reporting environment
5. Prior exposure to treasury functions, or crypto/digital assets is an advantage
6. Comfortable working across both fiat (GHS) and crypto (USDT, USDC) rails.
Skills & Competencies:
1. High attention to detail and comfort owning financial controls with integrity
2. Strong proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets
3. Analytical mindset with solid cash flow forecasting and reconciliation skills
4. Clear communicator — you’ll liaise directly with banks, auditors, and regulators
5. Able to work independently and take ownership of the finance function end-to-end
6. Organized and deadline-driven, especially around filings and reporting cycles
